This February, PRJCT Amsterdam stands with its program Stabat Mater: A Mother's Tears in a sold-out Concertgebouw Amsterdam and Musis Sacrum in Arnhem. In the run-up to the concerts, Podium Klassiek spoke at length with Maarten Engeltjes and the writer P.F. Thomése about this special project, in which music and literature about fate and death come together. P.F. Thomése reads from Shadow Child, after which PRJCT Amsterdam with Maarten and the young, promising soprano Shira Patchornik deployed the opening movement of the Stabat Mater.
