The first major project of the 2019/2020 season is behind us: Nicht mehr hier, with music by Bach and Buxtehude. On October 6, even before rehearsals, Maarten, together with the continuo section, already gave a preview at Podium Witteman with Buxtehude's Lament.
Rehearsals on October 8 and 9 took place in the Schuilkerk of the Old Catholic parish in The Hague - a hidden gem on Juffrouw Idastraat with beautiful acoustics and the two-manual Garrels organ, with many thanks to sexton/administrator Ton Kappelhof!
The long-dreamed-of Bach project of Maarten and his good friend Andreas Wolf (bass/baritone) Amsterdam took shape in four fantastic concerts, concluded on October 13 in a nearly sold-out Muziekgebouw aan 't IJ in Amsterdam.
