CD recordings in the Grote Kerk Elburg

The Grote Kerk in Elburg, where Maarten Engeltjes gained his first musical experience as a four-year-old in the boys' choir, is known for its beautiful acoustics. On December 5, 6 and 7 the church was transformed into a recording studio for the recordings of Maarten Engeltjes' first CD with PRJCT Amsterdam. Three super-intensive and strenuous days for all the musicians, and a special experience for those who have not experienced such a recording before.

The CD will be released by Sony Classical in February 2019. Details will not be announced until the presentation, but it will include at least some arias that could be heard at the Forgotten Arias concerts in Antwerp, Amsterdam and Haarlem in early November.

Take a look behind the scenes at the recording in Elburg of the aria Herr, was du willstfrom BWV 156.
